MOORESTOWN, N.J. (March 15, 2012) –SeaLife, the leader in underwater photographic equipment, has introduced a new camera system that includes its revolutionary 9-megapixel go-anywhere Mini II Dive camera, the SeaLife Digital Pro Flash and a Mini II Wide-Angle close-up lens. The complete camera system is packaged in a durable, padded, ballistic-nylon case than can be carried aboard even the smallest aircraft.

The new Mini II Elite combines the rugged, amphibious Mini II camera with SeaLife’s popular Digital Pro Flash, providing unlimited underwater options. The camera and flash synchronize together via SeaLife’s unique Flashlink™ technology, which utilizes the camera’s on-board flash and an optical-sensor cable connection to perfectly time the Pro Flash with the camera, ensuring quality images every time. A Mini II Wide Angle that increases the shooting angle by 33 percent and can be used for shooting at distances down to 12 inches also comes standard with the Mini II Elite Set. A SeaLife flash diffuser is optional.

The Mini II is a compact lightweight camera that has been tested and guaranteed to operate underwater at depths down to 130-feet without an external housing. The rubber armoring provides sure grip and flawless operation even after extensive 6-foot drop testing. Beneath the rubber armoring lies an indestructible body that makes the Mini II virtually crush proof.

The Mini II’s new underwater modes are easy to use and easily eliminate the common blue hues associated with images taken underwater. The Land Auto mode automatically controls exposure and internal flash. The Sea Mode brightens up the exposure while eliminating the “blue effect,” and the Snorkel Mode controls exposure and color correction in shallow-water settings. An External Flash Mode allows for the integration of the included flash system to further enhance color and image brightness underwater. An Easy Set-Up Mode provides a 1-2-3 graphic guide on its large 2.4-inch color LCD screen, taking the guesswork out of camera setup. The Mini II also features a 30-frames-per-second Video Mode with sound.

Powered by two AAA batteries, the Mini II accepts SD and SDHC storage cards up to 8
GB. The set includes the Mini II camera, Digital Pro Flash, Mini Wide Angle Lens and a soft padded case. The suggested retail price of the Mini II Elite Set is $609.95.

Separately, a video light may also be added in addition to the Digital Pro Flash.
